Carolina “Carol” Bufil, 75, of Honomu died June 12, 2013, at Kaiser Medical Center. Born in Laupahoehoe, she was a manager/collections agent with the Frank Huff Collection Agency.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. July 12 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. July 13 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou for a 9 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

She is survived by husband, Edward Bufil, Sr. of Honomu; son, Edward (Tracy) Bufil Jr. of Pepeekeo; daughters, Wendy (John) Wisniewski and Tanya (Todd) Pataray, both of Hilo; brothers, Bernard (Marilyn) Billena of Papaikou, Richard (Patsy) Billena of Mililani, Oahu, Roland Billena of Kapehu; sisters, Loretta Nitura of Waipunalei, Adeline Saldua of Papaikou, Trinidad (Henry) Real of Keaau, Gloria Sanchez of Honokaa, Erlinda Walker of Hilo, Darlene (Jerry) Domingo of Papaaloa; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
